2026 Series Rules
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
2026 Lake Cumberland Run/Walk Series
Before the 2026 season begins, please review the key details below so everyone is on the same page.
⭐ SERIES SCORING (BIG ONE)
✔️ You may run or walk as many races as you want
✔️ ONLY your BEST 8 races count toward series points
✔️ You must complete at least 50% of the races to qualify for year-end awards
✔️ Tie breakers use your 9th race, then 10th and beyond
🚨 RACE RULE – NO BIB TRANSFERS
Each participant must race with their assigned bib
Do NOT give your bib to another runner or walker
Unauthorized bib transfers may result in disqualification
👟 COMPETITIVE WALKERS
🏆 Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female Competitive Walkers will be recognized
Race Walking Rule:
One foot must remain in contact with the ground at all times
The leading leg must be straight when the foot makes contact
The leg must remain straight until it passes under the body

Feb 28 – SJWC Snowshoe Shuffle
Mar 14 – Shamrock Shuffle 5K
Apr 25 – Burnside Bunny Hop 5K
May 16 – Miles With the Maroons 5K
July 18 – Connect Community Village 5K
Oct 3 – Alton Blakley 5K to Beat Breast Cancer
Oct 17 – LCRH Run & Walk to Remember
Dec 12 – Christmas Island Jingle Bell Run
👟 Walkers: These races are the ones that count for Competitive Walking points.
👥 TEAM SCORING (QUICK NOTES)
Minimum 5 participants required to score
Team names must stay consistent all year
Team score = average time of the fastest 5 finishers
🏆 YEAR-END AWARDS
Participation Awards
Bronze – 40%+ races
Silver – 50%+ races
Gold – 60%+ races
Platinum – ALL races
Competitive Awards
Top 3 in each age group
Top 3 Competitive Walkers (Male & Female)
Top 3 Teams Overall
